Nourishing
Rose Oil

Roses are a beautiful, sacred flower that have nourishing and healing properties perfect for the body. Learn how to infuse your favorite unscented oil with organic roses for pleasant hydration and sensual massage.

Step 1

Harvest your roses either from your garden or a reputable organic source. Store bought works as well, but sometimes these are dyed and we don’t want that on or near our body, yuck! Ask the rose’s permission to be picked (yes, I speak to plants and flowers—they’re alive just like us).

Step 2

Remove petals from the flower gently.

Step 3

Soak petals in cold water for about 10 mins to rinse off any dirt or bugs. Do not stir or agitate. It’s important to use cold water as warm/hot water will begin to release the rose oils.

Step 4

Strain petals and let dry in a cool, dark place until dry.

What you will need:

♔ About 20 organic rose petals (pesticide & chemical free)

♔ 1/2 C organic unscented oil (coconut, almond, jojoba—make sure it is skin friendly)

♔ Glass jar with tight lid

♔ Light safe jar or bottle

Step 5

Place 1/4 C of petals in a zip lock bag or between paper towels and gently bruise the petals with a wooden mallet or pressing with the palm of your hand. Just slightly bruising to begin releasing oils.

Step 6

Place petals and oil in a jar with tight lid and shake for about a minute. Let sit for 24 hours in cool, dark place.

Step 7

Strain oil to remove petals, squeezing excess oil out. Repeat steps 5-7 for a stronger infusion. If the scent is strong enough with the first infusion, do not repeat.

Step 8

Pour oil in a dark tinted, light safe jar or dropper bottle. Store in a cool, dark place.

Enjoy your rose scented oil as daily body hydration, particularly areas of discoloration or scaring. Or try with a luscious breast massage from yourself or your lover, to open up the heart space for deeper connection.

This is also great for yoni massage, as long as you know that you do not have a reaction to the particular oil used. Coconut oil is usually the best yoni safe option. It is always best to test on a small area of your body to be sure it is safe.
